Can confirm exactly the same tales of woe! I suspect that if they are running late, they simply say – problem with delivery address – and go home!!
Here in Cómpeta, I have had parcels left by them at – the garage; the local bar; and a ferreteria.
If you can get to talk to anyone at their depot in Málaga (where the parcels originate) you can almost hear the Spanish shrug of the shoulders down the phone line!
Sadly however they are used by many of the larger courier companies – especially DPD – in the UK.
Re the problem with SEUR couriers, we accept parcels on customers’ behalf at the shop.
They deliver most days to us and know our hours etc.
We will hold onto the parcel for you and if you let us have a contact email we can let you know when it arrives so you don’t have to waste a journey.
We charge a nominal handling fee, maximum being €3 if the item weighs more than 2kg. Couriers don’t deliver to the Correos as they won’t accept courier items.
We now offer a PO Box service as an alternative to the Correos’ apartado service.
See our advert in this month’s Grapevine magazine (P39) for more details.
