An ex-World Boxing Featherweight Champion between 2002 and 2005, Scott Harrison from Scotland, has been sent to prison by Penal Court Number Seven in Málaga, along with two friends.
The sentence comes for injuring the owner and two clients in an ‘alternative’ night club in Alhaurín el Grande.
The magistrate considers Harrison responsible for two crimes and one of causing injury.
The Fiscal had asked for a six year sentence for the incident which took place in the early hours of May 20 2007.
The boxer was then aged 29, and he soon had a dispute with two people in the club.
The club owner soon intervened and threw Harrison in to the street where Harrison and his two friends are reported to have kicked and punched the two clients.
The owner of the club tried to pull the injured back into the club, but this brought a reaction from Harrison who hit man with a brutal punch which led him to lose a tooth and cut his lip.
Although Harrison denies the allegations, the judge does give credibility to the witnesses.
