Catalan way of avoiding medicine charges

Catalan doctors have found a way round the new 1 € per medicine charged on patients. They are drawing up prescription with only a few pills or smaller doses.
The new law says that only medicines over 1.67 € will be charged the 1 € surcharge.
The Català Fórum for First Aid (FOCAT) has published a list of medicines in the scheme. It contains medicines and pill as common as paracetamol, diazepam and others.
Doctors say it a measure which helps patients with economic difficulties, although they will have to visit the chemist more frequently.
